There has been remarkable growth in the range and complexity of available tests and services, which is expected to continue. Innovation in laboratory technology, which includes both new tests and advances in equipment and testing techniques, has made testing more efficient and automated. With the help of this advances laboratory test and results may be easily and accurately done. 

   Laboratory automated and manual processes occur in three stages which includes Pre-analytic stage this includes, choosing the test, ordering the test, patient preparation, specimen collection and transportation. Analytic stage this involves actual testing of the specimen and all routine procedures up to reporting of results. Post-analytic stage concerns with the forwarding of results to the appropriate hospital department or physician.c
